As Huntsman strive to move towards zero-waste, they have partnered with London College of Fashion, UAL sharing these surplus garments with 27 second year students specialising in bespoke tailoring.
Each student was given the opportunity to choose from these suits and excess cloth, and briefed to reimagine Huntsman in their language, to create garments which defy gender norms and honour Huntsman’s tradition of utmost bespoke craftsmanship. The considered and sustainable nature of Huntsman production on Savile Row is inherent to bespoke tailoring with each bespoke suit being remodelled and re-imagined for years to come.
Working with the 27 second year students Huntsman asked each student to consider the beauty of bespoke tailoring within the context of sustainable fashion while discussing the evolution of a garment through design, innovative cutting and manufacturing to produce pieces of exceptional quality that may exist for many decades and transcend fast fashion trends.
