A team of media professionals, including Anita Bhagwandas and Grace Timothy, has created a set of tools to encourage more inclusive content from brands in all forms of media. Recognising the intersectional discrimination faced by black people, people of colour, people with disabilities and individuals from the LGBTQ+ communities, the team has launched inclusivemedia.info, where the tools are free to download.

These include:

• A best practice guide: offering practical tips to ensure inclusivity throughout each stage of the creative process.
• An inclusion rider: a contractual clause that individuals can use to ensure they are only partaking in campaigns and projects that are truly representative.
• A free directory: people who are working in media and are black, people of colour, have disabilities and/or are from the LGBTQ+ communities, from influencers, journalists and PRs, to makeup artists, hair stylists and nail technicians. The directory will be used by brands, ad agencies, talent agencies, journalists, editors, casting directors, and marketing and PR personnel to ensure more equity in recruitment.
