Social media platform Instagram has announced the launch of its Shopping function in the UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, an update which allows those with a business profile to sell products via posts. Working similarly to user tags, businesses are now able to direct customers to their own websites through tagged posts.
Instagram shopping was successfully launched in the US last year and has since been trialled in the UK by a variety of brands.
