Instagram has announced that it is testing new ways for its users to express themselves and connect with people via their profile. Over the next several weeks, users may see features re-arranged at the top of their profile including changes to icons, buttons and the way to navigate between tabs. Photos and videos shared on the grid won’t change. The new redesign focuses less on the individual's follower count, shifting the stats from the top of the profile to below the username, profile pic, and bio. Instagram is also removing users’ post counts, previously found alongside follower counts.
Instagram will test these changes in phases and different combinations with its community over the next several weeks.
