International make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench has been appointed as UK Makeup Ambassador for YSL Beauté. Isamaya studied 3D at the Chelsea College of Art and then product design at Central St Martins. In 2010, she joined the Theo Adams Company; a London-based collective of artists, dancers, musicians, actors and singers from across the globe who create unique large-scale theatrical productions, film, events, photography and sound work. While part of this company and studying, Isamaya began to see the process of painting on faces more stimulating than the actual subject she was studying. At the age of 25, Ffrench has already worked with some of the world’s most renowned photographers and designers including Solve Sundsbo, Tim Walker, David Sims, Richard Burbridge, Tyrone Le bon, Miles Aldridge and Nick Knight on publications such as i-D (which she is the contributing beauty editor of), Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Vogue China, LOVE, Dazed, POP, Garage, Another and W Magazine.
