British clothing brand Jaeger has announced a collaboration for AW16 with menswear designer Lou Dalton. The collection of outerwear pieces will be unveiled at an evening presentation during London Collections Men, taking place at Bloomsbury House on 9 January 2016. The two British fashion brands have combined their practical philosophy and sense of adventure to create a collection that puts functionality at the forefront. The collection takes inspiration from Jaeger's heritage, including design features from the archive collection and items worn by Ernest Shackleton, and combines it with Lou Dalton's signature aesthetic for contemporary classicism and refined, yet contemporary tailoring. With a heavy focus on performance-wear. the collection is engineered to be worn on the go. Fabrics have been chosen based on technical abilities, including thermocool wool, stretch nylon and other double-faced light weight fabrics. Design features include pack-away zip hoods, natural contoured shapes, engineered to fit closely to the shape of the body, and storm cuffs for a streamline effect.
