Athleisure retailer, JD Sports has announced its collaboration with fashion blogger Lily Kitten, who has been unveiled as the face of its Ditch the Heels campaign. The collaboration sees JD Sports launch a new collection onsite aimed at promoting an alternative solution to traditional work attire for the modern career woman.
The Ditch the Heels campaign is designed to suit women who value comfort as well as style and are looking for work shoes which can accommodate the commute as well as the office. The collection includes a selection of flats, designed for comfy wear, in the form of plimsolls, trainers, slides and more to bring athleisure officewear to the forefront.
The venture sees the JD team work with Manchester fashion blogger Lily Kitten, who juggles her blog alongside working as a Head of Marketing and Communications for luxury brands.
Lily comments, 'The fact that some companies still expect women to wear heels in the workplace is archaic. As a career focused woman, I know the importance of looking smart and presentable, but I would rather someone judge me on my ambition, intelligence and work output than on the pair of shoes I am wearing.'
