John Lewis has become the first UK retailer to trial 360 Facebook Collections advert. The shoppable ads enable customers to view products in a real-life setting from every angle and then with one click go to johnlewis.com to buy the product. The new shoppable format has been created with video recordings made using a collection of cameras to create a ‘real-world’ panoramic experience. The footage was shot in a house in Streatham which was styled with product that is only available at John Lewis.
