Kiehl’s has announced the launch of Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm, a rich, creamy and hydrating product which contains edelweiss flower extract to strengthen the skin’s barrier, which helps locks in vital hydration and leaves skin feeling softer and smoothed. Dr. Geoff Genesky, Kiehl’s Head Chemist, commented: "We became interested in this flower due to its resiliency in harsh environmental conditions, and believed from the composition of its extract that it could be interesting for our formula. Further skin care studies on the extract, demonstrating a reduction in trans-epidermal water loss and strengthened epidermal barrier, convinced us that it would be a perfect ingredient for Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm." Other key ingredients include antarcticine, squalane and glycerin. Available online at kiehls.co.uk from January 2016, new Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm is priced at £24 for 50ml.
