Klarna, the leading global banking, payments and shopping service has acquired UK-founded social shopping platform Hero. London-based Hero connects online shoppers with retail workers via text messages, videos and online chat rooms. It helps retailers who sell major brands such as Nike and Adidas to compete with Amazon.com Inc. by offering better customer service, according to Hero’s founder, Adam Levene.
Adam Levene founder of Hero said: "Klarna is a business I’ve long admired. 250,000+ merchants. 90M+ shoppers. $45bn valuation. But most importantly, more aspiration and vision amongst the team than I’ve ever seen."
