UPPR has been appointed to handle the press and publicity for L'Officine Universelle Buly, an ancient Parisian perfume house dating back to the late 18th century. The house has an illustrious history and in an earlier guise even inspired Balzac to pen his literary character Ce´sar Birotteau. Buly today has been reinvented by Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac and has premises located on rue Bonaparte, Paris. In its new form Buly offers global ‘beauty secrets’ across perfume, scent, bodycare, skincare, as well as tools and beauty accessories. Armed with its founder’s spirit of conquest and innovation, Buly creates new concoctions, drawing on the most innovative cosmetic techniques and on the virtues of natural ingredients. Buly’s products are envisioned in Paris and formulated in a French laboratory, nurtured by the progress of contemporary cosmetics but faithful to the old recipes. Buly products do not contain parabens, phenoxyethanol or silicon. Furthermore to let the fragrances reveal their full breadth and purity, the house favours formulations that avoid any ingredient that could interfere with scents, including glycerine and alcohol. Buly has collaborated with Dover Street Market and curated a first space in the UK that will open at the new Haymarket location in March.
