The Los Angeles Times has announced the promotions of Craig Nakano and Matt Brennan. Craig, previously deputy entertainment editor, is now assistant managing editor, entertainment and arts whilst Matt has been promoted to deputy editor, entertainment and arts.

In his new role, Craig will develop strategic plans for the further evolution of the newsroom’s culture coverage, and will be responsible for running its daily culture report and driving execution of new initiatives.

Matt will work with Craig to oversee the continued development of The Times’ culture coverage.
