The Times has announced that its luxury magazine LUXX will return with Jeremy Langmead as editor-in-chief.
Launching on 3 December, LUXX will provide the most affluent readers of The Times with a revamped offering to ensure that they stay well-informed about the best products, services and innovations available in the luxury market across fashion, travel, arts and culture, architecture, interiors, exploration, fitness, wellbeing and giving.
LUXX will reflect a younger, more metropolitan reader. It will differentiate itself from the competition by identifying closely with these mobile, urban, highly aspirational, professionals and by paying particular attention to the affluent, successful female earner. A former editor of British men’s magazine Esquire and Wallpaper*, Jeremy Langmead's career has spanned 20 years. He launched The Sunday Times Style magazine, was Life & Style Editor of the Evening Standard and chief content officer at Christie's. He will remain as Brand & Content Director at MR PORTER which he helped launch nearly six years ago.
The debut issue of LUXX will have a seasonal flavour, with an emphasis on gifts. It will also look into the movers and shakers who bring this time of year to life, as well as the industries and personalities who inspire us to give, buy, travel and learn.
Throughout 2017 LUXX will also publish a series of special reports, written in collaboration with lead contributors in fields including technology, property and men’s fashion.
