MAC Cosmetics has announced the launch of its first gender-fluid collaboration with LA-bred, London-based designer Harris Reed. The collection celebrates gender fluidity, self-expression, acceptance and inclusivity. It takes inspiration from glam rock and dandyish dressing, with influences ranging from Renaissance painting to imagery of David Bowie and a young Mick Jagger.
The collection consists of a palette of nine eye shadows, a duo of luminous cheek tints, a rosy lip trio and a metallic eyeliner, all of which are exclusively housed in gilded Renaissance-inspired packaging.
On the collaboration, Harris reed said: "It was so important to me to create a [collection] that feels accessible to people because they are not intimidated by it, I wanted everyone to understand it: men, women, non-binary individuals, anyone in the in-betweens should feel that it can be a staple part of their life."
MAC x Harris Reed will be available from 18 February at Selfridges, Brown Thomas and maccosmetics.co.uk.
