As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing equality, inclusion and justice, MAC Cosmetics introduces Cameron Jukes as the first recipient of The MAC Cosmetics Equal Futures Scholarship at London’s globally renowned art and design institution Central Saint Martins. Awarded to a Black, Asian or Multi-Ethnic student, the newly-formed scholarship will cover maintenance and support for the three-year period of their degree. The scholarship marks a new chapter in MAC’s ongoing relationship with Central Saint Martins.
"The MAC Cosmetics Equal Futures scholarship means that I can create bereft of the stress due to my financial standing. The cards I had been dealt in life have always felt like a burden to me, yet I forever try to use my past as a fuel to ignite rather than to perish in, and this award is a catalyst or coal to this- in my spirit and character, I feel revitalised. Fashion is the balance between art and function, it is something that almost everyone responds to, and as a result, has the potential to be powerfully influential. Being part of an industry of such nature excites me, and now I stand together with MAC in this future. I wish this to be a testament of how circumstances do not have to hinder your goal."
