DECEMBER has been appointed to handle the press and publicity for womenswear fashion designer Maya Li. Graduating from Northumbria University in England, her collections presents a spatial awareness of balancing of lines with strong manufacturability. 

The theme of the SS17 collection is “Drama Queen”. Inspired by the rising wave of feminism in the 80s, Maya intends to greet New Romanticism through a bold attitude in silhouette, techniques, fabrics and accessories. Playing tribute to 80’s power dressing and androgynous styles of the era, most of the styles appear formal, while playful touches and luxury fabrications give the collection a sense of glamour.
