FDR London has announced the launch of The Jackal, a new luxury media brand aimed at smart-thinking, smart-dressing men. The Jackal will launch online at thejackalmagazine.com in mid-March, and the print edition will land on 22 March. The magazine will cover profiles, style and current affairs and will be distributed free in central London via Underground and Overland stations in the West End, the City and Canary Wharf, and in venues across the same area.
In light of the launch, a number of team appointments have been made:
Co-founder Robin Swithinbank is editor-in-chief. Robin is a former editor of Gentleman’s Journal and will continue to contribute to The Financial Times, New York Times International Edition, Esquire and MR PORTER.
Co-founder Daniel Tucker is creative director. Daniel has now left his position as art director at Gentleman’s Journal.
Aleks Cvetkovic is deputy editor. Aleks has now left his position as online editor at The Rake.
Gareth Scourfield is style director. Gareth has styled international artistic talent such as Daniel Craig and Michael Fassbender, and is a former senior fashion editor of Esquire. Gareth should be contacted for style-related enquires.
