DKNY has announced its participation in Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week.
MANGO, one of Europe’s largest fashion groups, has entered the metaverse through art. With culture as one of its brand values, the company has entered the NFT market by launching three unique artworks co-created with crypto artist Farkas. The three NFTs created by Farkas for Mango are exhibited at the coordinates 13.82 in the Museum District of Decentraland, where Mango has its own area in which it will reproduce a museum. They are also uploaded to the OpenSea platform, one of the main marketplaces for non-fungible tokens, by using blockchain technology, but they will not go on sale. For the development of the pieces, the artist used technological tools such as the free software Blender and he has collaborated with Mango's technology and 3D product design teams.
Lifestyle eyewear brand, Garrett Leight stepped into the Metaverse by debuting its virtual store along with an exclusive collection of eyewear and products that users can wear on their avatars. The collection features eccentric styles and designs including GLCO Super Nova, a vibrant pink 80s inspired sunglass, GLCO Major, a sunglass in Black with a skull and crossbones, and GLCO Thirty One, an oversized sunglass in Black paired with a yellow croakie. The collection also features unique additions outside of the normal GLCO product range designed without real-world restrictions including GLCO Giant “I,” an eye paired with a top hat, and GLCO Slick Eyepatch, an eyepatch encrusted with diamonds.
