Content Summary:

  • In May 2019, BECCA Cosmetics ranked within the Top 10 brands for bronzers and shimmers across print, online and social media. 83% of the coverage came from social media - YouTube had the biggest contribution with 46%. Representative mentions came from super influencer Jamie Genevieve who achieved an EMV of £30,330. Her video was themed around bridal makeup for her wedding coming up this July. Among the 21 different products she used in her video, Becca’s Opal Highlight was mentioned. The video had a total of 290,866 views.
  • Laura Mercier’s Sun Kissed Veil bronzer achieved an EMV of £47,603 in May 2019. This time the majority of the coverage came from online publications with 89% in contrast to only 11% coming from the national press. Among the online publications, the Dailymail.co.uk stood out with a contribution of £32,712 EMV.
  • OFRA cosmetics was the only brand to achieve two ranking positions in the Top 10 within the highlighters product category. The brand achieved a combined total of £227,043 EMV. These highlighters are vegan, cruelty-free and leaping bunny certified. The brand has done several collaborations with top influencers, most recently a campaign with @Nikkietutorials and @Mannymua733.
  • For the month of May 2019, the social influencer Rady (@grwrady) earned the highest engagement on Instagram for the category with 1,642,669 likes. Her content around bronzers and shimmers mentioned these five brands-Huda Beauty, Benefit, ColourPop, OFRA and Make Up For Ever Pro. The Benefit Hoola Matter Bronzer Powder achieved the highest EMV with £143,109.
