Focusing on the cosmetics category, they outline how they have achieved such a rapid increase in media coverage and what media outlets and retailers are supporting their media strategy.

Top 10 for the Irish market are: BCC (Black Canvas Cosmetics), Essence, Morphe, NYX Cosmetics, OFRA, Sigma, SOSU by Suzanne Jackson, Tarte, Urban Decay, Zoeva.

Year on Year Brand Progression

• (UK) Beauty Bakerie ranked in the Top 3 brand ranking for EMV across print, online and social media between January and October 2018. It achieved £1,593,105 which is £1,504,631 more than in the same period last year. This great uplift is mainly due the brand’s Flour Setting Powder which received 74% of its EMV from 8 different Social Influencers on YouTube. Their coverage received a total of 317,152 likes and 7,844,021 views
• (UK) MUA (Make Up Academy) was the most popular cosmetics brand on YouTube in the period between January to October. It was featured by 19 different Social Influencers including Sophie (sophdoesnails) who mentioned 12 different MUA products. The most popular product was the Undressed Palette which received 30,287 likes and 641,191 views
• (Ireland) Youtube represented 62% of cosmetics EMV for our 10 selected brands in Ireland between January and October. Most of it was generated by Sinead Cady, also known as TheMakeupChair, and Stephanie Lange. Combined, they mentioned 141 products of which the Sigma E25 Blending Brush received the most views (2,266,019) and the highest EMV (€236,582)
