My Market Insight, the company for data, commentary and analysis across various media platforms, has revealed its weekly beauty insight today with a focus on haircare products.
Haircare plays a pivotal role in the beauty industry, being the third most mentioned category overall, receiving 26,325 mentions in 2016. ghd, Bumble and bumble and L'Oréal Professionnel dominate the haircare market receiving nearly 4,000 mentions between them.
In December, ghd was the most mentioned haircare brand, while Hair magazine was the leading media title for most haircare mentions. Dyson's Supersonic Hairdryer was the most mentioned haircare product in 2016, which beats Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray, which stood in second place, by 130 more mentions. Bumble & bumble was the most mentioned haircare brand in 2916, while the haircare industry had an overall AVE of £26,435,285.
In 2016, haircare products were primarily featured in consumer magazines with 8167 mentioned.
