In December 2016, Lip products produced 23% of all cosmetic mentions. Face and Eye sub-categories beat Lips in terms of number of mentions, which figures show to be the general trend year on year. The most popular lip product on Twitter in December was Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid, with 3,753 likes and 10,400 retweets. MAC Cosmetics dominated online publications receiving 52 PR mentions in December, while Giorgio Armani’s Lip Magnet was the most mentioned product on social media in December with 21 mentions. Evidently, MAC Cosmetics dominated online publications receiving 9 pages of coverage in December.
