The National Hairdressers Federation (NHF) has announced the launch of its new sister trade association, the National Beauty Federation (NBF).
The NHF has been going since 1942. As a long-established trade association, the NHF has provided business support for hair salons and barber shops. The new NBF demonstrates that the high quality, specialist support is also available to beauty salons.
Chief Executive Hilary Hall comments, 'We recognised that the NHF name is a barrier for beauty salons, yet we know that our beauty salon members value the free business support included in membership. So the obvious solution was to establish a sister trade association which builds on the NHF heritage, but easily recognisable within the beauty sector. The new NBF clearly shows that high quality, specialist support is available to beauty salons too, but tailored for the unique challenges of running a beauty business.'
In addition, The NBF has also named Hellen Ward, MD of Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa as the NBF's first Beauty Ambassador. Helen is Vice President of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs, a successful businesswoman and a regular columnist in the beauty trade press.
Hellen comments on her appointment, 'I have always hugely admired the important work the NHF does. It's fantastic news that the NBF will be providing the same valuable support for beauty salons, taking the stress out of running a hair or beauty business, and saving salon owners a huge amount of time and money.'
