Natura Cosméticos SA, the Brazilian leader in the cosmetics industry, has announced that it has finalised the acquisition of global beauty brand The Body Shop from L’Oréal.
With the acquisition of The Body Shop, Natura is taking a further decisive step to constitute a global, multibrand and multichannel cosmetics group that brings together three strong brands; Natura, The Body Shop and Aesop, committed to ethical business practices, sustainability and making a positive social impact.
The transaction will lead to a group with an expanded footprint with a broad geographic presence in key markets. Combined, the three brands have operations in 69 countries, more than 17,000 employees, 3,200 stores, with a strong network of franchisees, a sales force of 1.8 million independent sales representatives and an extensive product portfolio covering a broad range of categories.
