It has been widely reported that a buyer has not been found for fashion chains Oasis and Warehouse. Last month the sister chains employed Deloitte to act as administrators. At the time the business included 92 branches across its leasehold stores and 437 concessions located in third party retailers.
TheIndustry.fashion has reported that Deloitte has confirmed, as a result of no buyer being named, the stores will close indefinitely and online sales will be stopped. The failure to save Oasis Warehouse Limited, the company behind the two brands, as well as menswear e-tailer The Idle Man and Bastyan Fashions, will result in the loss of 1,803 jobs.
Deloitte has blamed the group's outcome on the ongoing challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
