Capture Communications has announced that co-founder Saskia Leuchars has passed away unexpectedly, aged 31. Saskia co-founded Capture with Amelia Clark as an idea forged between two friends in lockdown in 2020. Within fifteen months Capture had been marked out as one of PR Week’s new UK PR agencies to watch in 2022 and nominated for Best New Consultancy at the 2022 PR Week Awards. Central to the success was Saskia’s dedication, high standards, sharp wit and desire to hire and develop bright fresh talent with the right attitude in play.

As Co-founder Amelia says “My great friend and business partner will be so, so missed. She was inspiring and bold and always pursued what she believed was right. Starting a business together locked away in a house and living together when the world was not at its best was challenging but fun, and I could not have wanted to do it with anyone else.

“She gave the agency confidence, shied away from nothing that needed tackling, and taught the team much on a daily basis, fed by sharp, dry humour. Keeping the legacy and energy of our joint venture live and kicking is something every member of Team Capture is determined to do, to celebrate and honour all that Saskia brought to us as a friend, guide, business driver and mentor. We will work hard, play hard, not take any shade from anybody, and not let her ambitions for us drop. Just the way she would want it.”
