Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto has passed away aged 76. Kansai was known for styling musician David Bowie and designing some of his most famous outfits including those of the singer's alter ego Ziggy Stardust. He was known for his colour designs and incorporation of traditional Japanese artwork into fashion. The designer died on 21 July after being diagnosed with leukaemia. His daughter announced his passing on 27 July.
Kansai's daughter Yamamoto Mirari said: "In my eyes, my father was not only the eclectic and energetic soul that the world knew him as but someone who was also thoughtful, kind-hearted and affectionate. He valued communication and showered me with love throughout my entire life."
