From pioneering permanent makeup techniques to gold standard training courses and a beauty empire, including brands Nouveau Lashes, HD Brows and K.B Pro. Karen Betts is an esteemed UK permanent makeup and microblading artist, and one of the earliest pioneers in micropigmentation. Karen’s journey began in the 1990s when her friend was diagnosed with breast cancer and following treatment confided in her that she no longer felt confident with her appearance due to the loss of her brow hairs. Karen began considering tattooing as a way to help her friend and realising that nobody in the UK offered cosmetic tattooing, Karen travelled to the US to train.

Karen went on to launch her award-winning training academy K.B Pro to broaden the accessibility of these life-changing treatments by giving aspiring artists the chance to do the same rewarding work. Today Karen is an award-winning artist with three clinics in Yorkshire, Cheshire and London’s Harley Street. The Karen Betts Professional brand is also home to an Elite Team of artists, handpicked and expertly trained by Karen herself.
