French photographer and film director, Michel Haddi has signed to Slingshot. Michel's career spans over 40 years, having started back in the 70s. His work is renowned all over the world and is considered, to be intense, challenging, poetic and with a mix of humour. Born in Paris, Michel's interest in photography started with a Helmut Newton shoot on the cover of Vogue; after moving to London, Michel worked as an assistant to the photographer Ben Lee where he was able to learn the technical side of the business. After two years, his photograph of Gail Elliot was published in the Daily Mail.
Michel’s photography has appeared in many publications including Italian Vogue, Tatler, French Vogue, ELLE, GQ, British Vogue and The Washington Post. He also shoots advertising campaigns for names such as Armani, Rochas, Yves Saint-Laurent, Emilio Pucci, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales, and celebrities such as David Bowie, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Clint Eastwood, and Johnny Depp.
