Pinterest has launched its first UK Creator Fund. Creating a more inclusive space online means increasing the investment to support the work of creators from groups with a lower representation on the internet. Following last year’s launch in the US, Pinterest is today expanding its Creator Fund to two new markets, the UK and Brazil. Pinterest’s Creator Fund is a program to uplift creators from historically marginalized communities, including Black, LGBTQIA+, Asian, Indigenous people and people with disabilities. Investing finances and resources into training, educating and supporting creators, is part of Pinterest’s ongoing work to make the platform an inclusive and inspiring place.
With applications now open from 6 June 2022 through to 19 June 2022, this first round of UK applications will focus on LGBTQIA+ Fashion and Beauty creators. Those selected will be invited to join an intimate five-week programme of events, education and inspiration and will receive £20k in the form of a cash grant, equipment and more. Creators can apply here.
