Berlin trade show organiser Premium Group has announced that it is launching the "first digital trade show in the world" in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. Premium Group and its partner B2B wholesale platform, JOOR have developed a digital marketplace to showcase a curated portfolio of brands complied with the relevant retailers.
The show PREMIUM+SEEK Passport will launch on 14 July 2020 and showcase until October 2020. It will be geared towards the current market conditions, where only limited travel is permitted.
In an online statement, Premium Group outlined the plans for the digital trade show as a one-stop-shop for users. There will be one website, one app to search for and find suppliers and one place to upload and access data and content. The seasonal brand lookbooks curated by PREMIUM and SEEK will be uploaded to individual profiles and key looks will be presented in virtual showrooms.
Premium Group said: “Then, the AW 2021/22 season will see the first ‘blended event’ take place, where the digital and physical worlds will come together. Using the mobile passport app retailers and brands can then exchange contacts on-site, make appointments and order directly.”
