Swarovski has announced New York-based designer Rosie Assoulin as the winner of the 2016 edition of the Swarovski Collective Award. Now in its second year, the award recognizes creative talent, innovation and craftsmanship within the collections shown by Swarovski Collective members over the SS16 and AW16 seasons. Rosie Assoulin was selected as this year’s winner by Swarovski from the current Swarovski Collective membership, including Alexander Lewis, Christian Wijnants, Creatures of the Wind, David Koma, Dion Lee, Emilia Wickstead, Esteban Cortazar, Peter Pilotto, Tanya Taylor, Thomas Tait, Tim Coppens, and Tome.

The designer will receive a prize of €25,000, which comes in addition to the year-long crystal product and financial support provided by the Austrian company to all Swarovski Collective members. A new member of the Swarovski Collective for SS16, Rosie Assoulin’s two collections saw her distinct visual vocabulary of luxurious sensuality, sculpted ease, and bold lines enhanced with the use of crystal.

Rosie has extended her partnership with Swarovski to jewellery with the launch of the Atelier Swarovski by Rosie Assoulin collection for AW16. The designer was also the winner of the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards.
