At-home IPL hair removal brand SmoothSkin has announced the launch of SmoothSkin Muse, the brand's latest IPL hair removal system. Made in the UK, SmoothSkin Muse comes from a 30-year heritage in light-based beauty and SmoothSkin were the first to discover how light can be used for hair removal.  

SmoothSkin Muse is created to break the hair cycle by using Intense Pulsed Light to prevent further regrowth. Light energy is absorbed by the hair follicle which heats up and stops unwanted hair from growing back. By using SmoothSkin Muse once a week for 12 weeks initially, all hair follicles will be captured and treated to really kick start the treatment and give the best results. After the initial 12 treatments, top-up sessions will be required when and if needed  – usually once every four to eight weeks. 

SmoothSkin Muse has an in-built skin tone sensor offering a bespoke treatment with every flash. The technology, developed by the experts at SmoothSkin, scans skin before each flash and automatically selects the light intensity best suited to each unique skin tone – maximising results, safely.

To make treatments even easier, SmoothSkin Muse offers its classic Stamp and Glide mode. With the dual treatment modes, users can treat small and large areas more precisely. The glide mode is perfect for large treatment areas such as the legs and stamp mode is ideal for smaller areas such as the underarms or bikini line.
