Teen culture website Sugarscape , which first launched just over five years ago, has announced that it will be closing down at the end of 2016.
Carl Smith, head of content, comments: “We're truly gutted and extremely disappointed by the news - but we're also SO proud of everything that the site has come to represent... We're completely devastated that a platform of nothing but fun, inclusivity and positivity can no longer exist for you guys. Not only as the first stop for celeb news but a safe, friendly corner of the internet that we hope has given you comfort, lols and the occasional heart palpitation... Sugarscape's aim has always been - and always will be - to make every teen's life that little bit happier. We just wanna say a big thank you to everyone who's kept up with us over the years, because you're literally the greatest team that the world has ever seen. We're going to miss you a lot, and we hope we did you proud.”
