Swarovski has continued its support for emerging talent through its collaboration with Central Saint Martins on the 2016 BA Jewellery Design Project. This year’s edition marked the 15th consecutive year of the project. 3rd year BA Jewellery Design students at CSM were challenged to use Swarovski crystals and gemstones in an innovative way to create couture pieces inspired by water. From an initial 38 applications, 10 students were shortlisted and supported by Swarovski, which supplied the finalists with crystals to create their pieces.
The overall winner was Lucie Davis who created a set of rings made of 100% compressed cellulose sponge featuring Swarovski crystals. For her project titled ‘For twice the shine-Just add water’.
