The Lede Company has been appointed to handle the PR for textile biotechnology company Spiber in UK and Paris. Spiber has developed "Brewed Protein", an innovative raw material based on synthetic proteins inspired by various protein materials found in nature. The company analyzes the DNA of these organic materials to recreate proteins in the laboratory, which are then powdered and spun into textile fibres. Brands such as The North Face x Junya Watanabe, Woolrich, Pangaia and the Kering Group have already collaborated with Spiber on innovative technical projects.
