Erika Allen has been appointed culture editor at New York Magazine's The Cut. Erika will oversee culture coverage and edit essays, profiles, and features that focus on the people and cultural events. Erika joins the Cut from the Outline, where she was executive editor. Prior to that, she was deputy editor at VICE. Before VICE, Erika worked at the New York Times, where she was one of two founding editors of Times Insider, and contributed articles to the style, art, and metropolitan sections, and T Magazine.

Erika will commence her role 10 December.
