Following a summer of mentoring and business support, in which three finalist teams flew to London for an intensive week of coaching, Topshop has now revealed The Crated as the winner of its wearable tech programme, Top Pitch.
The Crated is an innovation house focused on seamlessly integrating electronic circuitry into textiles. Founded by Madison Maxey, The Crated invents solutions to help companies combine technology and apparel and specialist functionalities in heating, safety and posture. The Crated will now be invited to develop a heated garment prototype alongside the Topshop Design team.
Established by Topshop and corporate innovation specialist L Marks, Top Pitch was launched with the aim of discovering and developing start-up businesses to deliver technology-enabled fashion product to a global consumer.
