Vogue Arabia and the Dubai Design & Fashion Council (DDFC) announced that Faissal El-Malak (ready-to-wear - pictured), Joanna Laura Constantine (accessories), and Nadine Ghosn (high jewellery) were the 2017 winners of the DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize, an annual endowment for the Arab world’s most promising fashion talents.

The first of its kind in the Middle East, the Fashion Prize was launched in 2015 and invigorates regional talent by providing a yearly program for emerging designers to showcase their abilities. The winning designers will receive a financial production grant; retail pick-up from Harvey Nichols – Dubai and Bloomingdale’s Kuwait; mentorship from various members of the Selection Committee; media/press coverage; advertising promoting their SS18 retail launch; and a presentation/showcase at Fashion Forward Dubai in March 2018, collectively representing US $250,000 in value.
