Condé Nast has announced in a statement the appointment of Livia Firth as sustainability editor-at-large for Vogue Arabia, effective immediately. The founder and creative director of Eco-Age and the Green Carpet Challenge has long been a champion for change and education around fashion’s impact on our planet, and is undoubtedly the perfect candidate to take on the role and mantle.
The appointment comes as all 26 editions of Vogue announce the Vogue Values commitment; a global call to action from the publications that aims to celebrate our diverse cultures and preserve our planet for future generations.
Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief, Manuel Arnaut, said, “I am so excited to work with Livia Firth, whose work I have been following for so long. This new mandate means that we will try as much as we can to honor the values we are espousing,”...“While editorially we will dive into the aforementioned themes, we are also working on changing how things work in our lives, trying to avoid the use of plastic in the office, and adding other small gestures that make all the difference in the end. It is a learning curve for everyone.”
