Vogue Czech Republic and Slovakia has today announced the appointment of Andrea Běhounková as editor-in-chief. The Czech and Slovak edition of Vogue will debut both digitally and in print in August 2018, published in partnership with V24 Media.
Andrea Běhounková is widely recognised in the Czech publishing world, having spent the past eight years editing Elle Czech Republic. Andrea's career began editing a national newspaper, Český deník at 21 years old. She then spent seven years working across various forms of media including television and reporting until moving into women’s fashion and lifestyle publishing.
During this time, Andrea held the role of editor-at-large of Style and was then pivotal in successfully relaunching Žena a život, twice honoured as ‘Best Magazine’ by The Publishers Union. Běhounková was appointed editor-in-chief of Elle Czech Republic in 2010 where she also oversaw the launch of Elle Man and relaunch of Elle Decoration.
