Fashion publication W Magazine has temporarily postponed its print publication. The magazine's next print issue, previously scheduled for publication at the beginning of May has reportedly been postponed indefinitely. 

This comes in addition to a number of the publication's staff being furloughed. The New York Times published that the magazine's editor Sara Moonves told staff that they would be furloughed last week. Those who work on the online content will be staying on at reduced salaries.

Marc Lotenberg, Chief Executive of W's parent company, Future Media Group has said: " The bottom has dropped out of the luxury market." He went on to describe the title as being in "survival" mode and blamed the economic upheaval caused by the coronavirus pandemic for much of the magazine's troubles.
