Supermarket chain Waitrose has announced the launch of its new customer magazine; Waitrose Drinks. Waitrose Drinks is the latest addition to the supermarket's portfolio, including Waitrose Food, Waitrose Weekend and Waitrose Garden. The new magazine will explore a wide array of ciders, wines, beers and spirits, highlighting the best through news and features. The magazine will also offer readers advice for entertaining, cocktails recipes, and insight from Waitrose’s wine buying team using content from WaitroseCellar.com, the supermarket’s specialist drinks website.
The title has also appointed Joanna Simon as editor. Joanna was previously wine critic for The Sunday Times for 22 years and was also wine and food editor of House and Garden magazine and is a co-founder of The Wine Gang. Contributors include Phillip Schofield, Masters of Wine Susie Barrie and Peter Richards, and Jenny Éclair.
The first issue is available in Waitrose branches now, with the second issue following in early November, priced at £2 or free to all MyWaitrose customers.
