Weleda, the manufacturer of natural cosmetics and anthroposophic medicines globally, has appointed Pegasus to lead its consumer communications in the UK. Weleda is renowned for its natural and organic skincare products, commitment to ethical and sustainable business practice, and passion for beauty and wellness. Founded in 1921 by Austrian scientist and Philosopher Rudolph Steiner, Weleda has been working in harmony with nature and human beings for over 90 years. Weleda’s products are 100% natural, certified by Natrue, and sold direct to consumers throughout the UK in health food stores and via independent health practitioners. Additionally, 83% of all Weleda’s plant-based raw ingredients are Biodynamically grown. Pegasus’ dedicated healthy beauty team will be working with Weleda to help the brand develop a deeper relationship with its customers and tell its story across all key channels, in addition to providing ongoing PR support for Weleda’s beauty and health products. Additional projects will include a campaign to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Weleda’s best-selling Skin Food product. The account will be led by Healthy Beauty Director Helen Yeardsley, with campaign and press office activation handled by Senior Account Director, Juliet Cornwell. As part of the appointment, Pegasus will provide integrated communications support through its digital, creative and social-media teams.
