WhatsApp has added a Carts feature to its app, making it easier for users to buy and sell products. Carts will enable people to browse a catalogue and select multiple products and send the order as one message to the business. The aim is to make it simpler for businesses to track order inquiries, manage requests and close sales.
WhatsApp has said that "Carts are great when messaging businesses that typically sell multiple items at once, like a local restaurant or clothing store."
Using the example of Agradaya, a sustainable herbs and spices business in Yogyakarta, Indonesia WhatsApp presented the following feedback: "[Agradaya] told us how carts are a convenient way to understand what the customer is ordering without all the back and forth communication."
