Woodthorpe Comms has been appointed to handle the press and publicity for Cherry London, a global marketing agency specialising in brand partnerships. Founded in 2009 by entrepreneur and CEO Tamara Gillan, Cherry London has created game-changing partnership campaigns for leading global brands including O2, Aviva and Superdrug. Woodthorpe’s remit includes establishing a thought leadership programme of activity, events, awards and content creation. Additionally, Scottish Woollen Tweed Tailoring Specialists Walker Slater has appointed Woodthorpe Comms to manage PR for the brand throughout the UK and Europe. Walker Slater, awarded 'Scottish Retailer of the Year' at the 2015 Scottish Fashion Awards, specialises in blending heritage and modern, taking the traditional and updating it, with a strong focus on integrity. Using hand-picked fabrics from the Hebrides to the Scottish Borders, the company produces quality, timeless clothing and accessories for men and women. The team at Woodthorpe Comms’ has also expanded. Jo McConnell has been appointed Associate Director. Jo has worked with leading global brands and agencies in a senior capacity and offers a wealth of experience. In addition, Fiona Bond and Ashely Wilson have joined the team as PR consultants. Fiona was previously Holt PT and Ashley at Pringle of Scotland. Laura Ivory also joins the team as Junior Account Executive.
