Italian beer brand, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, is investing in the future of fashion creatives with the launch of The Fashion Studio within The House of Peroni, calling for new talent in womenswear and menswear across the Ready to Wear sector. It will offer eight fashion creatives a mentorship programme by a Creative Council as well as a residency in a fashion studio space in London. The House of Peroni’s Creative Council is made up of a group of fashion industry experts who will mentor, counsel and support the chosen Emerging Fashion Designers in the studio. Led by Jonathan Saunders, Scottish fashion designer known for his work in prints and silks; Isabella Burley, editor‐in-chief of Dazed and Confused and Creative Consultant for fashion brands; Pandora Sykes, Londoner, fashion writer and stylist; Alexander Fury, journalist and editor of Another Magazine; and Anna Orsini, Strategic Consultant on the British Fashion Council.
The council has been carefully curated for the different skill sets they can offer, ensuring the emerging fashion designers receive a wider understanding of the industry, providing key practical advice and commercial support they need to help them grow their own portfolio. The House will be a hub for the next generation of creative talent who will have access to a fully equipped studio space set up as a living fashion workspace. This will be a highly creative space with regular talks, events, and workshops, held by industry professionals. For the duration of their residency, the chosen designers will work towards creating a collection to showcase as a presentation during London Fashion Week in February. Applications are officially open now, with a deadline of 20 May, before the chosen few get whittled down to the final round.
