British couture and ready-to-wear house Ralph & Russo has been placed into administration. The brand has said that the decision to appoint administrators has been taken in order to assist in the restructuring of the business after the "retail economy across the world has been badly hit by the financial downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic." 

Ralph & Russo was founded in 2010 by Creative Director Tamara Ralph and co-founder Michael Russo has since carved out a place as a luxury brand. 

In an online statement, the brand said: "It is the intention of all parties that the business will continue to operate throughout the Administration process, and the Company remains fully committed to supporting its incredibly loyal global clientele and staff as it transitions through this period."
